Creating a schema holder

The MS SQL Server Utilities are located under the DataServer menu option in the Data Administration Tool. Progress Software Corporation recommends that you use the Create DataServer Schema option to pull in all the objects that your application needs. This will create the schema information as a database type of MSS instead of ODBC. After completing the schema pull, the schema needs to be adjusted to conform to OpenEdge behavior.

To adjust the schema after completing the pull:

Connect to the original OpenEdge database.
Select the DataServer MS SQL Server Utilities Schema Migration Tools Adjust Schema option to fix the OpenEdge attributes needed for your application to run. You can specify the entire schema holder or specific objects.
